Hurricane Boats will be primed and ready to rip during the inaugural Sanctuary Cove Car Festival, Sunday 30 September from 9am to 3pm.
Billed as “the car lover’s ultimate day out”, the event will take over The Marine Village and showcase a covetable range of classic, modified and prestige cars, from showrooms and private collections.
On the Marina, the action will be just as thrilling, with on-water testing of Hurricane’s FunDeck models, meaning you can try before you buy and be on your own Hurricane in time for summer!
There’s plenty to entertain the whole family at the Car Festival: including prestige vehicles and iconic muscle cars, one-off custom builds and rare pieces of automotive history.
Racing legend Tony Longhurst will display The Boat Works and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show-sponsored BMW M4 GT4 which won its class in the 2018 Bathurst 12-hour race. Plus the Porsche Club Queensland will bring 80 cars from the 60s to the present.
After perusing the hot cars, cool off on the water with a 15-minute test run on the sensational Hurricane FunDeck – US designed and built and superior to any other deck boat on the market.
The original deckboat since 1974, Hurricane boasts a sturdy, stable fibreglass “cathedral hull”, wide beam and plenty of room onboard for up to 13 guests. They handle superbly and can hit a top speed of 43 knots for ease of towing skis or inflatables.
The FunDeck is characterized by its secure high rails, plenty of seating and stowage space beneath the seats, in-floor lockers, a toilet, shower option, barbeque and dual biminis. With a draft of 25cm, the FunDeck can access shallow reaches and pull up on the beach, which is ideal for the safety and comfort of kids and the elderly.
The tri-hull, moulded vinylester fiberglass construction means they’re thicker and more durable than aluminium and can be easily anti-fouled. Plus, all hulls are backed by a 10-year structural warranty.
Hurricane boats have positive floatation which makes them virtually unsinkable! Every cavity is filled with urethane foam flotation. The foam provides structural rigidity, hull stiffening, sound dampening, and reduction of vibration and minimizes water absorption.
They will suit thrill seekers, those looking for a spacious, stable party platform, fishos and families, groups of friends keen to enjoy the boating lifestyle and every kind of water activity.
