“Having owned my Island Gypsy 40 for over one year now I can very happily say that both the boat, and Paul & Brett at Boats International have been exceptional.
The IG40 (hull #5) was ordered and delivered during Covid which presented many challenges including the scarcity of marine engines globally and general marine hardware. This is where the experience of Brett paid dividends as he was able to source upgraded motors, gen sets and thrusters and kept the build on schedule. Also, during this period shipping costs quadrupled and Covid lockdown at the port created a logistics nightmare. Paul regularly kept us informed of all issues, didn’t overpromise and managed the logistics lottery without causing us any stress – big tick.
The next major challenge was unloading the boat before the Brisbane River flooded and moving it safely to Coomera. With the floods came a lot of debris in the water to which Brett and Paul assisted us by keeping our boat at a safe berth at Coomera for an extra 10 days.
Naturally we were very happy with Brett and Paul but what puts them one level higher is the extras that they helped us with.
The quality of the boat has meet all my expectations. The finish is very professional and looks amazing.
